재외선거권자란?

Who qualifies as an overseas voter?

국외부재자 Overseas Absentee

주민등록이 되어있는 19세 이상의 대한민국 국민으로서 외국에서 투표하려는 사람

예)기업ㆍ상사 주재원, 유학생, 여행자 등

Those who want to vote abroad as a korea citizen aged 19 or older who are registered as a resident in the Republic of Korea

e.g.)Employees of Korean corportations or trading companies working abroad, students studying abroad, tourists

재외선거인 Overseas Voter

주민등록이 되어있지 않은 19세 이상의 대한민국 국민

예)영주권자 등

Voters aged 19 of older who are not registered as a resident in the Republic of Korea

e.g.)Permanet residents

※ 단 재외선거인은 투표소에서 국적확인서류 원본제시

※ However, overseas voters must present original national identification documents at the polling station.

재외국민 수가 많은 지역은 추가투표소 설치 가능

Additional polling stations may be installed in areas with a large number of overseas voters

재외선거인 영구명부제 도입

※ 2016년 제20대 국회의원선거의 재외선거인 명부에 등재된 재외선거인은 별도 신청 불필요, 단, 국외부재자는 종전과 동일하게 매 선거 때마다 신고

Introduction of permanent registration for overseas voters

※ Overseas voters registered for the 20th National Assembly elections(2016) do not need to reapply.

However, overseas absentees must reapply for every election.

재외투표기간 개시일전 귀국자는 신고 후 국내 투표소에서 투표가능

Registered overseas voters who return to Korea before the voting period may vote at local polling stations in the Republic of Korea
