KOCEI Successfully Holds 13th International Symposium on Civic Education |

= Theme: Inclusive Democracy and Civic Education =
The Korean Civic Education Institute for Democracy (KOCEI) successfully held the 13th International Symposium on Civic Education on November 20 and 21, with around 200 people from Korea and abroad participating.
The 13th International Symposium was attended by Korean and international experts including professors from Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden under the theme of Inclusive Democracy and Civic Education. In depth discussions were held through the symposium, including on how civic education for democracy should be promoted in the future.
The symposium consisted of the following three sessions that included presentations from experts and discussions on topics such as the age of diversity and inclusive civic education, governance of civic education for democracy through collaboration and the challenges for achieving inclusive democracy.
KOCEI said that it will make its upmost efforts to contribute to the development of democracy and the revitalization of civic education for democracy by seeking a new direction for civic education for democracy in Korea using the various examples and implications from advanced European democracies discussed during this symposium.
