The National Election Broadcasting Debate Commission (NEBDC) held a Debate Experience and Mentoring together with the NEBDC course within the educational donation program for 2016 Winter Vacation at the Korean Civic Education Institute for Democracy (KOCEI) for three days from January 18 to 20.
This program, which began during the winter vacation in 2015, was designed to cultivate the democratic citizenship of future voters. It was composed of various content adapted to the level of junior high school students and included a voting and counting experience and mentoring by winners of nationwide college student debate contests through a pros and cons debate experience.
The NEBDC hopes that this debate experience and mentoring course will provide an opportunity for young students to have the right frame of debate mindset, based on listening and respecting each other’s opinions in a critical and balanced way and announced that it will continue to pursue education on debate based on the basic values of democracy.
